The world is changing towards sustainable planning.  The sustainable planning can help to reduce the increase in global temperature. Increasing of the world temperature which is attributed to greenhouse emissions. The sources of the greenhouse emission come from vehicles, industry processes and the heating of heating of building with the fossil.  Our world today was replaced by impermeability of material such as asphalt and most building material. It happen because it not provide the water filtration and absorption. The new development become the gradual loss of urban forest. Increasing anthropogenic heat happen because of increasing amount of heat absorbed by building. Then rising temperatures of buildings because of extensive use of air conditioners. 

Malaysia also come out with the sustainable planning for new development such as Setia Alam City. The Sustainable Planning for new development in Setia Alam try to developed the 4,000 aches of planning city townships, green and sustainable to provided all people walk of life with the holistic live, work, play and lifestyle for 150,000 of population. More than 10% of Setia Alam will remain green. This Setia Alam have extensive plantings provided habitats for indigenous wildlife. All parks equipped with facilities to cater for young and old. It also have extensive landscaping provided natural security and sound barriers.  Setia Alam have engineered waterways and detention ponds also enhance and cool the environment. 

Setia City Mall including in Master Planning in Setia Alam City . Jazmin and Izatul from MSc of Housing choose this Setia City Mall as their case study for seminar paper (Refer figure 5 & 6).

This Setia City Mall is socially and environmentally sustainable (Figure 7). It focus of improving energy, water and waste efficiency to ensure it give the little impact on the environment. Setia City Mall have achived Singapore's Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark Gold Award and is also a Malaysian Green Building Index. Some of the green features such as; 

1) The escalators slow down when not use. 

2) 50% less energy saving light with daylight sensors

3) It also low emission glazing and have heat insulation on atrium roof.

4) It have water saving fittings for toilet flush and hand basins

5) It also have rainwater harvesting and drip irrigations to all planter boxes. 

The seminar presentation from MSc of Planning student, Hafizan and Faris also was focusing in sustainable but for retailing. Sustainable retailing fulfil the present needed without affect the ability of future generation to fulfil their own needs. Retailers are working on more sustainable ways to move and deliver goods. This is to improve the sources of local goods, better packaging and also to minimize of the transportation movement. Then they also reused the waste goods, even packaging also can be reused. They also encourage customer to reduce the plastic bag for save our world. Some retailer try to developed the better ways to reduce the waste and value to the community. Some retailers are improving information for customers to give them better understand how to store products and reduce waste. TESCO Berhad in Malaysia try to promote sustainable retailing. Currently they started offer the services shop on-line to some cities and towns within Klang Valley, Penang and Johor Bharu. Customer can order on-line the goods that they want to buy and then deliveries brought to the customers. Tesco provide the guide price and catalogue in their on-line website : www.tesco.my (Refer figure 8, 9, & 10). Regarding all the seminar presented, it show that the sustainable development planning is very important to our world. We can save our earth even thought the small things such as reduce using plastic bag. It  because human was cause of destroyed on our earth and indirectly causing global temperature change to heat.
